Created in 1874 from the old mansion of the aristocratic Ingham-Whithaker family and subsequently decorated in the Art Nouveau style, the Des Palmes Hotel has welcomed Wagner, Francesco Crispi, and numerous other renowned personalities. In 1907, Basile made changes to the hall by enhancing the existing style with Liberty style. Its recently refurbished rooms combine historic appeal with the best modern amenities.
